SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP

Children and teens with Autism Spectrum Disorders may have difficulties with social skills which may hinder their ability to connect with people. Social Skills are the foundation for many pivotal areas in life. Lack of Social Skills can lead to behavioral difficulties in school, peer rejection, emotional difficulties, bullying, difficulty in making friends, aggressiveness, and concentration difficulties. Social Skills Groups provide needed intervention in a safe environment to work on building relationships, perspective taking, conflict resolution, initiating conversation, being assertive, and many more areas. The Social Skills Groups are led by trained professionals, to allow for a safe environment in which to practice newly learned skills.
