Occupational Therapist

Description
Works as an integral member of CARE's multi-disciplinary Team: to improve the quality of life for individuals with and without disabilities and their loved ones using empirically validated therapy approaches to improve functional levels in fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing and feeding. Conducts diagnostic evaluations, writes assessment reports and treatment plans, and provides effective therapy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or masters from accredited university in occupational therapy.
  • Passed the National Registration Exam administered by the AOTA (The American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Licensed as an occupational therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • Minimum of one year experience as an Occupational Therapist in working with individuals with disabilities in clinic and or at home
        • Full-time, Part-time positions (20 hours + per week) and Independent Contractor positions available

Speech-Language Pathologist

Description
Works as an integral member of CARE's multi-disciplinary Team: to improve the quality of life for individuals with and without disabilities and their loved ones using empirically therapy approaches to improve functional communication. Conducts diagnostic evaluations, writes assessment reports and treatment plans, and provides effective therapy.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree from an accredited university by the Speech Pathology and Audiology Board
  • License as a speech and language pathologist by the Speech Pathology and Audiology Examining Committee of the Medical Board of California.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a speech pathologist in working with individuals with disabilities in clinic and or at home.
  • Available to commute to different locations to provide services
        • Full-time, Part-time positions (20 hours + per week) and Independent Contractor positions available

Behavior Therapist

Location
North LA County, CA (SFV and adjacent areas)
Los Angeles County, CA (LA, Glendale)

Description
Implements early intensive behavior intervention programs, collects, records, and monitors data on target behaviors, maintains updated notebook and record of consumer’s program, and attends and participates in clinic meetings.

Qualifications

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Background and TB clearance
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
  • An understanding and familiarity of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • A minimum of 1.0 year of experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities using Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Enrollment in Applied Behavior Analysis courses
        • Hourly rate: competitive hourly rate, depending on experience
        • Part-time positions available (20 hours + per week)

Behavior Consultant

Location
North LA County, CA (SFV and adjacent areas)
Los Angeles County, CA (LA, Glendale)

Description
Assesses new consumers, creates assessment reports, writes progress reports, and revisions. Coordinates, attends, and leads clinic meetings. Monitor, evaluates consumer progress and sets new targets for program. Creates and trains staffs, parents, and other personnel. Collaborates with parents and other personnel working with the consumer; other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Completed Masters degree in related field (special education, psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development)
  • is practicing as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • BCBA or is currently practicing as Associate Behavior Analyst preferred
  • Available to commute to different locations to provide services
  • Has at least 3.0 years of experience working with individuals with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Has implemented PECS(Picture Exchange Communication System), DTT (Discrete Trial Training), PRT (Pivotal Response Training), and or other ABA based programs
  • Communicates effectively in English (oral and written)
  • Previous training in lead position preferred
        • Hourly rate: competitive hourly rate, depending on experience
        • Part-time positions available (25 hours + per week)
