Adaptive Skills Trainer

Location
North LA County (SFV and adjacent areas) in consumer home, school, and/or community

Description

  • Implement adaptive skills training in consumer’s home/community under the direction of the Consultant of Adaptive Skills
  • Collects, maintains, summarizes and records organized data regarding the consumer’s program goals
  • Collaborate with other team members on program, implements necessary changes/revisions to the consumer’s program as established by the Team Supervisor

Qualifications

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in related field (special education, psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development)
  • Background and TB clearance
  • Willingness to commute to different locations to provide services
  • At least 1.0 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities or with children
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
  • Communicates effectively in English (oral and written)
  • Able to lift and carry objects/consumer up to 50 lbs; able to provide physical support as needed to consumers up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to kneel, bend, push, pull, sit for an extended period of time (at least one hour)

Hourly rate: competitive hourly rate, depending on experience

Adaptive Skills Consultant

Location

Description

  • Supervises and trains Team Members to implement intervention
  • Evaluates and documents trainer’s job performance; motivates Team performance
  • Monitors, evaluates and modifies program goals and sets new targets for individualized programs
  • Collaborate with team members on program, implements necessary changes/revisions to the consumer’s program as established by the team

Qualifications

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Completion of bachelor’s degree in Psychology or in a related field with at least 12 units in Applied Behavior Analysis or master’s degree in a related field
  • At least 1.0 year of experience in behavior intervention, or utilizing behavior Principles working with individuals with disabilities or with children
  • Previous training in a lead position preferred
  • Supervises and trains Team Members to implement intervention

Behavior Therapist

Location

Description

  • Implements early intensive behavior intervention programs
  • Collects, records, and monitors data on target behaviours
  • Maintains updated notebook and record of consumer’s program
  • Attends and participates in clinic meetings

Qualifications

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Background and TB clearance
  • An understanding and familiarity of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in related field (special education, psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development) and at least 1.0 years of experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities
  • Completion of 12 semester units of Applied Behavior Analysis preferred

Hourly rate: competitive hourly rate, depending on experience

Behavior Consultant

Location
LA County (SFV and adjacent areas) in consumer home, school, and/or community

Description

  • Monitors and supervises behavior intervention programs
  • Collects, records, and monitors data on target behaviors
  • Maintains updated notebook and record of consumer’s program
  • Writes progress reports, assessment, and terminations reports
  • Oversees implementation of behavior programs by behavior therapist
  • Attends and participates in clinic meetings and other duties as assigned

Qualification

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in related field (special education, psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development) and 12 units of Applied Behavior Analysis or at least 2.0 years of experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities and one year of experience in designing and/or implementing behavior modification intervention services using Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Completed Masters program in Applied Behavior Analysis or a related field (Minimum of 12 semester units completed in Applied Behavior Analysis)
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Background and TB clearance
  • Has implemented PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), DTT (Discrete Trial Training), PRT (Pivotal Response Training), and or other ABA based programs
  • modification intervention services
  • Previous training in lead position preferred

  • Implement early intervention in consumer’s home/school/community under the direction of the Consultant of Early Intervention
  • Collects, maintains, summarizes and records organized data regarding the consumer’s program goals
  • Collaborate with team members on program, implements necessary changes/revisions to the consumer’s program as established by the Consultant of Early Intervention

Qualifications

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Valid CA license and proof of current automobile insurance
  • Completed Live Scan and TB clearance
  • Completed Bachelors degree in a related field
  • 12 semester units in Child Development
  • Has at least 1.0 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities 0-3 years of age

Early Intervention Consultant

Location

Description

  • Oversee and supervises early intervention programs in consumer’s home/schools/community
  • Collects, maintains, summarizes and records organized data regarding the consumer’s program goals
  • Monitor overall programmatic performance of all early interventionists on assigned cases
  • Collaborates with other team members on consumer’s program, implements necessary changes/revisions to the consumer’s program as established and writes reports on consumer’s program and progress

Qualifications

  • Motivated, professional, creative, positive, reliable, and caring individual with effective communication skills (oral and written)
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in related field (special education, psychology, social work, counseling, education, child development) and 12 semester units of Child Development
  • Enrollment in a Masters program in related field
  • Background and TB clearance
  • Previous training in lead position preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Supervisors in managing cases
  • Has at least 2.0 years of experience in early intervention implementation, assessment, and report writing
  • Works independently with little direction

Occupational Therapist

Location: North LA County (SFV and adjacent areas) in consumer home, school, and/or community

Description

  • Uses empirically validated therapy approaches to improve functional levels in fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing and feeding
  • Conducts diagnostic evaluations, writes assessment reports and treatment plans, and provides effective therapy

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or masters from accredited university in occupational therapy
  • Passed the National Registration Exam administered by the AOTA (The American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Licensed as an occupational therapist by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
  • Minimum of one year experience as an Occupational Therapist in working with individuals with disabilities in clinic and or at home for infants/toddlers 0-3 years of age

Physical Therapist

Location

Description

  • Provides physical therapy assessment, testing, treatment and evaluation of patients in an accurate and timely manner
  • Documents evaluation outcomes, findings and treatments
  • Provides and evaluates durable medical equipment/ devices based on needs of patient
  • Monitors, evaluates and modifies client progress and sets new targets for individualized programs, Assesses new clients and provides reports
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Completed Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy or completion of an accredited four to six year physical therapy program
  • Background and TB clearance
  • Willingness to commute to different locations to provide services
  • At least 1.0 year of experience as a physical therapist working with individuals with disabilities or with children

Speech-Language Pathologist

Description

  • Uses empirically therapy approaches to improve functional communication
  • Conducts diagnostic evaluations, writes assessment reports and treatment plans, and provides effective speech and language therapy

Qualifications

  • Masters degree from an accredited university by the Speech Pathology and Audiology Board
  • License as a speech and language pathologist by the Speech Pathology and Audiology Examining Committee of the Medical Board of California
  • Minimum of one year experience as a speech pathologist in working with individuals with disabilities in clinic and or at home with infants/toddlers 0-3 years of age
